Colin Felton

Provincial Grand Charity Steward

About Colin

Colin Felton, ProvGChStwd was initiated into Freemasonry into Leigh-on-Sea Lodge 4708 in November 1990. He joined the Craft with the intention of trying to put something back into the community and after passing through the chair joined the Charity Committee in 2000 with the then Provincial Charity Steward W.Bro Joe Holdsworth.

Following the untimely death of Joe, he continued on the committee helping W.Bro Laurie Justice deliver the 2011 Festival. When Laurie was promoted to APGM in 2011 Colin took over the top charity job and later joined the Provincial Executive led by Rt.W Bro Rodney Bass when he took over as PGM. It was the first time that a Provincial Charity Steward had ever been given that honour in Essex.

Freemasonry is a way of life for Colin, but when not working for the Craft he is running a highly successful marketing company which works across the globe promoting blue chip companies working in the construction industry.

His passion is writing and before starting his own marketing company worked as a journalist on a wide range of local, regional and national newspapers. He continues to write for a number of leading trade journals and has his own blog website promoting the benefits of mindfulness and positive thinking which attracts more than 8,000 visitors every month.

Through the website he has developed a number of positive thinking courses for young people which are offered to schools worldwide totally free of charge. Work with schools helping students with low self esteem and other types of mental health issues continues to grow.
